Beginning his career in one of the “Big Four” firms in Singapore, Ee Yang walked the unconventional path and started a litigation practice in his fifth year of practice. Since founding Covenant Chambers LLC in 2016, Ee Yang has seen his practice expand, with a focus on commercial and property disputes involving high net-worth individuals as well as corporate entities. He strives to raise the legal sector to new heights by leveraging his wealth of experience and passion for advocacy and empowering the next generation of legal eagles.

Ee Yang was a recipient of the prestigious Singapore Academy of Law Overseas Scholarship and was attached to Essex Court Chambers, a highly regarded barristers’ chambers in the United Kingdom, working with established King’s Counsels. He was also an adjunct instructor at the National University of Singapore, teaching the Legal Analysis, Research and Communications course.

In addition, Ee Yang actively engages in pro bono work.

Ronald is an Advocate, Counsel, Strategist, and Technologist. He believes in serving people to bring about justice and peace.

Having moved on from dismantling electronic devices and coding computer games at age 10, Ronald found his calling as a lawyer and honed his legal craft at a Big Four firm, Rajah & Tann.

Ronald’s practice is in both disputes and transactional work, with a special interest in technology, finance, intellectual property (IP), and employment.

Ronald takes pride in being strategic, sharp, technically savvy, and bespoke.

In litigation and arbitration, Ronald has represented institutional and individual clients at all levels of the Singapore courts and various arbitration institutions and in a range of disputes, including multi-million-dollar investment claims, patent infringements, insolvency-related claims, director-shareholder disputes, and cryptocurrency claims.

Ronald is also a Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) Accredited Mediator and volunteers in providing pro / low bono legal services. He advocates for social justice in various platforms, and frequently authors academic and thought papers, some of which have been published in various journals.

Khelvin Xu

Khelvin spent 15 years at one of the Big Four firms, where he was a partner specialising in commercial litigation and arbitration. As a Director at Covenant Chambers, he now combines big firm expertise and sophistication with the agility and flexibility of a chambers model.

A savvy, tenacious, and persuasive litigator, he considers it a privilege to advocate on behalf of his clients. He finds effective, commercial, and cost-proportionate solutions for his clients.

Khelvin’s practice has a particular focus on complex and cross-border commercial disputes, particularly those involving technology and cryptocurrency. He is regularly called upon for matters involving B2B disputes, shareholder agreements, minority oppression, directors’ duties, and employment issues.

Khelvin’s advocacy ability is not limited to the courtroom. He is a certified Mediation Advocate under the International Mediation Institute, and applies his mediation advocacy skillset to permanently resolve complicated disputes without risking unexpected outcomes before tribunals.

Khelvin is also a statutory Council member of the Law Society of Singapore, which represents, protects, and assists members of the legal profession in Singapore.

Edwin Sim

Edwin carries a wealth of experience, having been in practice for over two and a half decades. As a partner in Alban Tay Mahtani & de Silva in his 8th year of practice, Edwin decided to embrace the challenge of starting his own firm. In 2004, he co-founded Lexton Law Corporation. 20 years later, after building a successful litigation practice, he embarked on a new journey as a Director with Covenant Chambers.

Edwin’s practice is varied, his versatility as an advocate is reflected in the diverse matters he handles, ranging from personal injury claims to building and construction matters (including SOPA claims), as well as complex trust disputes. As lead counsel, he has conducted many trials in the State Courts and High Court and has led successful appeals in the Appellate Division of the High Court, as well as in arbitration disputes.

Edwin understands that it is often in the client’s best interest to resolve a dispute amicably. Whether it is preserving the harmony of relationships, helping the client to achieve closure, obtaining certainty or managing a disadvantageous financial situation, mediation is the key process to these outcomes. Edwin has successfully resolved many conflicts through mediation both as counsel and as a mediator. He is an accredited mediator with the Singapore International Mediation Institute and is appointed on the panel of the Law Society Mediation Scheme. He volunteers also as a Community Mediator appointed by the Ministry of Law’s Community Mediation Centre.

Wilbur began his legal career as a State Counsel at the Attorney-General’s Chambers, where he gained valuable experience advising on complex, multi-faceted legal issues. In 2018, he transitioned to private to pursue his passion for helping individuals and businesses navigate challenging legal disputes.

Wilbur’s practice spans civil, commercial, and private client disputes. He is known for his thoughtful, patient, and meticulous approach to legal problem-solving. His clients appreciate his calm and reassuring presence, particularly when facing high-stakes or emotionally charged disputes.

An experienced litigator, Wilbur has represented clients in high-stakes disputes before both the State Courts and the High Court in Singapore, including the Appellate Division of the High Court. He is well-versed in handling complex disputes involving commercial fraud, fiduciary claims, property matters, and high stakes family disputes. With a strategic yet pragmatic approach, he meticulously prepares and presents each case with clarity and precision, ensuring his clients’ positions are strongly advocated in court – regardless of the challenges posed by opposing counsel.
