The LSNEDS-FIDReC Panel of Neutrals (“Panel”)
Members of the Law Society of Singapore (“LSS”) seeking admission to the LSNEDS FIDReC Panel of Neutrals must satisfy the following qualifying requirements:
- he/she must have a valid practising certificate;
- he/she has been in practice as an Advocate and Solicitor (as defined in the Legal Profession Act) for a period of not less than 7 years in aggregate;
- he/she must provide undertakings, namely, to act as a Neutral if so appointed by the Law Society at the scale of fees as determined by the LSS in consultation with FIDReC from time to time;
- he/she must have experience in one or more of the following categories, regardless of whether such experience was gained in contentious or transactional work:
- banking and finance, including lending and taking of security;
- investments, including private banking, wealth management and capital market services; and/or
- insurance, including life or general insurance;
- LSS reserves the right to remove from the Panel any Neutral who does not hold a valid practising certificate during the tenure of his/her appointment.
