Our lawyers have extensive experience and knowledge on the drafting of all kinds of commercial agreements including shareholders’ agreements, employment contracts, sale and purchase agreements, supply contracts, distributorship agreements, licensing agreements.

We work with our clients from structuring the deal, to the eventual completion and implementation. Unlike traditional lawyers in large outfits, our lawyers understand our clients’ commercial concerns and are able to advise accordingly. Also, unlike lawyers in large firms, our team has commercial litigation experience which allows them to better anticipate possible pitfalls and disputes.

Jeremy is a director of JCP Law LLC, with particular expertise in civil and commercial litigation, and international arbitration. Having previously worked in leading Singapore and international law firms, he has handled a broad range of disputes, including matters relating to construction, infrastructure, supply of goods, employment, defamation, medical negligence, shareholder disputes, mental capacity, inheritance, property, banking, matrimonial, and criminal defence. He believes in finding efficient and effective solutions to complex problems.

In relation to construction, infrastructure, engineering, and commercial disputes, he has extensive experience acting for large international contractors, companies and consultants in Singapore court litigation and security of payment adjudications. In international arbitrations Jeremy has handled disputes in the region such as Singapore and Malaysia, as well as in more distant jurisdictions such as India, China and Romania. He is equally at ease advising the management on the broad litigation strategy, as well as working on technical issues with experts and site staff.

In addition to contentious work, Jeremy and his team have also been instructed in relation to non-contentious matters such as advising on mergers and acquisitions, drafting of commercial contracts, legal opinions, employment matters, joint venture agreements, and shareholder agreements. He also personally handles the firm’s conveyancing matters.

Rebecca Chia is a director at JCP Law and possesses a strong background in civil litigation. She has experience in different areas of laws, with an emphasis on commercial litigation and arbitration. She has assisted and acted in contentious matters heard at all levels of the Singapore Courts. This included disputes involving shareholder disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, breaches of confidentiality, construction disputes, breaches of confidentiality, contractual disputes, defamation, debt recovery and employment disputes.

Rebecca also has corporate experience on drafting of contracts such as employment contracts, convertible loan agreements, non-disclosure agreements, supplier agreements, standard terms and conditions for companies, as well as advising clients on the contents of similar agreements.

In relation to personal legal matters, Rebecca’s clients have also requested for her to advise and represent them in their matrimonial and probate matters.

She is a lawyer that always strives to understand her client’s needs and will represent their best interests in legal matters.
