Engelin Teh, SC was admitted to the Singapore bar in 1979 after graduating from the University of Singapore with Honours. She was appointed Senior Counsel on 10 January 1998 and was admitted to the roll of solicitors of England and Wales since 16 October 2008.

With a wealth of experience of more than 3 decades in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, Engelin has acted as counsel in numerous cases, spanning a wide spectrum of areas including banking and finance, company law, corporate and partnership disputes, real estate, commodities, corporate fraud, equity and trust, employment and executive compensation, insolvency, intellectual property, administrative law, landlord and tenancy, professional and medical negligence, insurance and family law.

Engelin also has an active practice in international arbitration. She has presided both as sole arbitrator and as part of a tribunal in both domestic and international arbitrations under the rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the International Chamber of Commerce and the Law Society of Singapore. She has also represented clients as counsel in various domestic and international commercial arbitrations involving cross-border disputes.

In the last decade, mediation has become a passion for Engelin. Given her vast and varied litigation experience, Engelin is well equipped as a mediator to assist parties to work through complex situations and navigate differences to achieve effective solutions. Being a mediator on the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) Principal Panel of Mediators and its Family Panel of Mediators, Engelin has mediated several cases referred by SMC and has successfully brought about settlement between parties in many of these cases. Engelin is a Certified Mediator, International Mediation Institute (IMI) and sits on the panel of the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC) and is accredited by the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI). Engelin is also appointed as Senior Mediator to the Panel of Mediators for the Law Society Mediation Scheme.

As a member of the Inquiry Panel of the Singapore Law Society, Engelin has sat on inquiry committees, both as member and chairman, in relation to complaints against lawyers. Mr Michael T T Seow was called to the Bar in February 1985 after graduating with an Honours degree in Law. He has more than 30 years of experience in the areas of Conveyancing and Property Law, Landlord and Tenant Law and general solicitor's work which includes:

Thomas graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1997 with an LL.B (Hons) and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1998. Thomas has also been admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales.

Thomas is an experienced and dynamic lawyer dedicated to finding the best solutions for his clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters. His practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, with particular emphasis on intellectual property ('IP') and employment work. When Thomas takes on a case, his clients reap the benefit of his considerable knowledge, experience and willingness to go the extra mile.

Employment disputes

Thomas has advised corporate organizations extensively on employment-related matters and has broad experience in handling contentious employment disputes. He has provided expertise in advising on issues relating to termination of employees, enforcing non-compete clauses, protecting employer’s confidential information and taking remedial action in relation to employment fraud. Thomas has also worked closely with companies to provide support in relation to non-contentious employment matters such as advice on employment policies, drafting and reviewing employment contracts and issues arising from restructuring, reorganisation and retrenchment.

Intellectual property disputes

Thomas manages an active regional trade mark portfolio, and regularly advises clients on the suitability of marks for registration, the prospects of obtaining registration of marks, the selection and use of trademarks, and oppositions to pending trademark applications. He files and prosecutes domestic as well as international trade mark applications (under the Madrid Protocol), and advises on the documentation required for the assignment and licensing of trade mark rights.

Thomas also handles contentious IP disputes and has been involved in civil litigation for trademark infringement, misuse of trade secrets and passing off. He has worked with private investigators to secure evidence of infringement, and to institute civil and criminal proceedings against infringes. He has recently appeared before the Singapore Court of Appeal to successfully defend a Singapore website against allegations of passing off and trademark infringement by a magazine publisher.

Mr Mark Yeo studied at Raffles Institution and Raffles Junior College. As a student, Mark was a competitive squash player, representing both school and country at various local and international junior tournaments. At the national level, Mark was crowned the individual champion in the under-14 and under-16 categories and was ranked amongst the top 5 in the Under-19 category.

Mark served his National Service with the 46th Singapore Armour Regiment as a sergeant in an armoured infantry company and is now a platoon sergeant in his reservist unit. After completing his National Service in 1996, Mark read law in the National University of Singapore. In 2000, he graduated from the National University of Singapore with a LL.B (Hons. - 2nd Upper Class). He commenced pupilage with us in June 2000 and thereafter served as a legal associate when he was admitted to the Singapore Bar on 2 June 2001. In April 2005, Mark was made an Associate Director. He was made a Director in January 2013.
