Philip is the global-vice chair and ASEAN chief executive officer at Dentons. A leading commercial litigator and international arbitration counsel in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution and the Arbitration groups, Philip was appointed as Senior Counsel in 2003 at the early age of 38 and is named in all the major legal publications as an expert in arbitration, construction law and litigation. He is currently Chairman of Maxwell Chambers, the world's first integrated dispute resolution venue and is on the Public Service Commission, the constitutional body that oversees the civil service in Singapore. He is also on the Presidential Council for Minority Rights, which advises the President of Singapore under the equality provisions of the Constitution.

Areas of Practice:

Philip's active international arbitration practice as counsel spans investments and projects across Asia, and he has represented clients in arbitration proceedings in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, London, Zurich and Brunei. He is particularly experienced in disputes of two kinds, namely disputes involving difficult technical issues and disputes involving complex financial structuring.

Lek Siang Pheng is the deputy managing partner for Dentons Rodyk. In addition, he is also a senior partner and the head of our Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Arbitration practice. Siang Pheng is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. He is also a Fellow of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Singapore. He has been appointed by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre as sole arbitrator and co-arbitrator in international arbitrations.

Areas of Practice:

Siang Pheng handles civil and commercial litigation, including banking cases (banking advice, loan and mortgage recovery actions and bankruptcy actions), insolvency matters (work-outs, receivership, scheme of arrangement, judicial management and liquidation) China investment disputes, partnership and shareholders' disputes, domestic and international arbitration, contractual disputes, corporate disputes, medical litigation and insurance cases. He represents banks, companies and individuals, medical defence organisations and insurance companies in the course of his work.

Maw Shen is a Senior Partner in Dentons Rodyk's Litigation and Dispute Resolution and Arbitration practices. Maw Shen is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese, and has over 20 years of extensive experience in commercial litigation, with particular emphasis on restructuring, insolvency litigation, shareholders' disputes, commercial fraud, trust laws and litigation involving gaming issues. His clients include banks, accounting firms, listed companies, venture capitalists and gaming operators among others.

Areas of Practice:

Maw Shen's core practice areas complement that of the firm's corporate advisory teams - the collaboration of which ensures that legal solutions that best accord with the clients' commercial objectives and requirements are offered. Maw Shen has been extensively involved in the restructuring of various listed entities over the years.
