CANDIDATES’ ELECTION MESSAGES

VOTER REGISTRATION FOR INTERNET VOTING (‘I-VOTING’)
 
3.The Election will be conducted by way of i-voting. The Election will be held on FRIDAY, 30 OCTOBER 2020 between the hours of 7.00 am and 7.00 pm (Singapore time, both times inclusive) (‘Election Hours’). The Election Hours will be strictly observed.
 
4.As there is election only in the Senior and Middle categories, only practitioners in these two categories are required to register and vote. Practitioners in the Junior category are not required to register and/or vote.
 
5.Voter registration is now open at https://ivoting.lawsoc.org.sg/register.aspx and will close on FRIDAY, 23 OCTOBER 2020 at 5.00 pm. Please refer to the i-voting User Guide here for instructions on the registration and voting process.
 
6.We regret to inform members that there will be strictly no extension of the voter registration period. Members have to complete the registration process in order to be able to i-vote from a location other than the Law Society premises.
 
ELECTION DAY
 
7.Limited voting terminals will be set up at the Society’s premises for members who are required to vote but failed to register or do not have access to a computer, mobile phone or tablet. Please bring along your NRIC or any photo identification document to vote personally at the Society’s premises from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. Voting at the Society’s premises will be by way of i-voting only (i.e. there will be no physical ballot slip for members to cast their votes).
 
8.In light of the safe distancing measures to cope with the public health situation, members are strongly encouraged to cast their ballot via i-voting to avoid voting in-person at the Law Society premises.
