ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Building on the success of the Tech Start for Law programme which ended on 28 February 2018, Tech-celerate for Law, another support scheme for the adoption of technology solutions by Singapore Law Practices (SLPs) will be launched on 2 May. Administered by the Law Society of Singapore, in partnership with Ministry of Law, Enterprise Singapore, and Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA), this scheme will prepare SLPs for future disruptions and move them beyond the adoption of baseline technology solutions. The solutions supported under the scheme will empower SLPs to enhance their delivery of legal services, strengthen their capabilities and increase their competitiveness in the global landscape.
This 1-day event will inform participants about the Tech-celerate for Law scheme. The talks and panel discussions will explore issues relating to legal technology strategies, implications of AI and the digital era on the future legal workforce and the innovation experience of other sectors.
Our Guest of Honour, Minister S Iswaran (Ministry of Communications and Information), will also be launching the SmartLaw Guild, which brings together and gives recognition to a community of forward-looking lawyers who are constantly re-inventing themselves and acquiring new skills to further elevate their legal practice.
Highlights of the event include:
- Panel discussion with SmartLaw firms on their technology adoption journey
- Future of the legal workforce and implications of AI and the digital era on the millennial legal workforce
- Legal technology strategies for Singapore law practices
- Sharing by innovation leaders from non-legal sectors
- Opportunity to interact and learn from pre-approved vendors under the Tech-celerate for Law scheme
