ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
This seminar aims to advance on your knowledge about mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in ASEAN+6 contexts. We will explore the trends and key factors that influence strategic motives for cross-border M&A deals, and discuss different types of M&A transactions, the life cycle of a transaction, tactical elements, country-specific nuances and local practices for deal planning in the ASEAN+6 region.
This seminar will also cover the key aspects of drafting and negotiating a sale and purchase agreement and typical structures of these agreements. Common issues arising out of cross-border practice between ASEAN+6 will also be addressed.

ASEAN: The Association of Southeast Asian Nations was founded in 1967. In December 2015, it formed the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The AEC seeks to establish the region’s end goal of economic integration.
ASEAN Member States: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
ASEAN+6 Nations: The six nations (Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea and New Zealand) that enjoy Free Trade Agreements with ASEAN.
