Project Law Help

Eligibility

Any non-profit organisation may apply for assistance under Project Law Help if the organisation is:

  • a charity/voluntary welfare organisation/non-profit organisation/social enterprise in Singapore with an objective to meet community concerns or needs; and

  • in need of legal advice that does not involve court proceedings; and

  • has limited or no financial resources to pay for such legal advice.

Assistance under Project Law Help is granted to applicant organisations at the discretion of the Law Society Project Law Help Committee. To obtain further information or details relating to the applicant organisation and/or its specific legal needs, an interview may be set up to meet with the relevant persons of the applicant organisation.

An applicant organisation approved by the Project Law Help Committee for assistance under the scheme will be matched with a volunteer law practice and the applicant organisation will work directly with the law practice assigned.
