The law is a
mystery to most people. And intimidating.
For ordinary people, it can be really daunting, especially if you
can’t afford legal advice.
The Law Awareness Committee of the
Law Society of Singapore seeks to serve the community by
demystifying the law and explaining the law in layman’s language, so
that people can know, understand and use the law (at least basic
law)
in their daily lives.
We do this
through:
* Our biennial
Law Awareness events
* Public
education talks
* Legal seminars
* Legal
exhibitions
* Legal clinics
* Publishing
simple-to-understand information booklets on common aspects of the
law
