Dr Parvathy Pathy
Dr Parvathy Pathy is a Consultant Child Psychiatrist at the Child Guidance Clinic, Institute of Mental Health. She assesses & manages children, adolescents & families with a wide range of psychiatric & psychological problems and has a Special Interest in Forensic Psychiatry. She has done child custody assessments for the Singapore Family Court and has had working stints both in Australia and London in Forensic Psychiatry. Besides being actively involved in providing child psychiatry training to both medical undergraduates and postgraduates at the National University of Singapore, she regularly participates in providing public education regarding child psychiatric issues in the local media. In addition to articles on childhood stress, adoption and child abuse, Dr Parvathy Pathy has also written a book entitled “Living with Divorce “, an easy-to-read book that helps divorcing parents understand and guide their children during this painful process. On a personal note, she loves dogs and spending time with her family.
