Ms Anne-Marie Hutchinson

Anne-Marie Hutchinson is Head of the Children Department at Dawson Cornwell, a leading UK family law firm. She specialises in international divorce and jurisdictional disputes, with particular expertise in international custody and child abduction.

Anne-Marie was awarded the inaugural UNICEF Child Rights Lawyer award in 1999, an OBE for her services to international child abduction and adoption in 2002 and Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year for her work with the victims of forced marriage in 2004.

She acted in the two recent ground-breaking House of Lords decisions relating to child abduction; in Re: D (a child)(Abduction: Rights of Custody, Re: M & Anor (Abduction: Rights of Custody)(Abduction: Zimbabwe) and Carlson v Switzerland in the European Court of Human Rights.

Anne-Marie is Chair of the Family Law Committee of the International Bar Association and of Reunite: International Child Abduction Centre. She is a regular speaker and lecturer and has made numerous television
