Outline   L1. Singapore (Section 2, Rules 4, 5 and 5A)
Recognition as a Qualified Person Act
1) Any person who, before 1st May 1993 has passed the final examination for the degree of Bachelor of Laws in the University of Malaya in Singapore, the University of Singapore or the National University of Singapore is a qualified person. Section 2
Recognition as a Qualified Person Rules
2) Any person who, before 1st May 1993, was admitted as a candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Laws by the National University of Singapore and who, after that date, has passed the final examination for that degree shall be a qualified person. Rule 4
3) Any person admitted as a candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Laws by the National University of Singapore on or after 1st May 1993 shall be a qualified person if -
(a) he has passed the final examination for that degree; and
(b) he has attained at least lower second class honours in relation to that degree.
Rule 5
4) Any person admitted as a candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Laws by the Singapore Management University shall be a qualified person if -
(a) he has passed the final examination for that degree; and
(b) he has attained a grade point average of at least 3.00 in the course of study leading to that degree.
