Your Donation Makes a Difference

Our volunteer lawyers represent or advise needy clients for free.

However, financial resources are needed to run and administer our free legal assistance programmes. For example, as part of its work, the Pro Bono Services Office:

  • screens needy applicants

  • interviews applicants for the relevant facts of each case

  • mobilises and manages volunteer recruitment

  • provides administrative support for volunteer lawyers

  • runs the community legal clinics off-site at North-West CDC and South-East CDC

  • pays the out of pocket expenses (e.g. photocopying fees and transport) of our volunteers

  • pays the disbursements of our Criminal Legal Aid Scheme applicants

Tax Deductible Donations

We are a registered charity and an Institution of Public Character so all monetary donations (over $50) will qualify for 250% tax deduction for 2009.
