Starting a Practice


	First Time Sole Proprietors/Partners/Directors	Locum Solicitors	Book-Keepers

Pursuant to the Legal Profession Act, these are mandatory training requirements for:

Solicitors who wish to practise as sole proprietors, partners, directors of a law practice for the first time (Re: Section 75C Legal Profession Act)
Solicitors who wish to practise as locum solicitors (Re: Section 26(1A)(b) Legal Profession Act)
Persons who wish to be appointed as book-keepers of law practices for the purposes of the Legal Profession (Solicitors’ Accounts) Rules (Re: Rule 11A(2) of the Legal Profession (Solicitors’ Accounts) Rules)

Training courses are provided by the Law Society for the fulfilment of these mandatory training requirements.
